For those of you who are serious about your coupons, you can get a preview of the coupons you might find in Sunday's paper. Just click here to go to the Sunday Coupon Preview.
There will be at least 3 inserts this weekend: SmartSource, Red Plum, and Proctor and Gamble (P&G). One blog I read says there will also be a Unilever insert, but the Sunday Coupon Preview does not show that as of this writing.
If you do not typically get the paper or are in need of stocking up, I highly recommend buying one or more papers on Sunday. You might also consider purchasing coupons off Ebay or from a clipping service. The two clipping services I have seen recommended are My Coupon Hunter and 4U2Coupon. I recently saw that you can get whole, uncut inserts from Katie at SundayCouponInserts.com if you just want an extra copy or two of each coupon.
All this leads me to a short rant about ethics in couponing. It is really frustrating and discouraging to see people stealing newspapers or coupons. Yes, it is tempting because it seems that "everyone is doing it," but it is just plain wrong. Here are some guidlines for getting coupons:
- Ask your family, friends and neighbors for coupons they are not using. You can even have them print extra coupons you find on the internet. DO NOT steal the paper or coupons out of their driveway.
- Buy a newpaper from a paper machine. DO NOT take more than one copy of the paper out of the machine unless you have paid for additional papers. It might be better to buy a paper from inside a store so you can make sure your paper has all the inserts it should. However, you are typically charged tax if you purchase it inside a store.
- Some restaurants have the Sunday paper for guests to read while they eat. DO NOT take the coupons from a restaurant unless you have asked for permission first. If you take it without asking, it is stealing.
- Get together with others who are interested in couponing, and share coupons so you can all get the deals you want. It is such a blessing to get multiple copies of coupons from friends who are not using them anyway.
Okay...rant done. If there are any specific coupons you are looking for, you can comment on this post, ask for them, and provide an e-mail address so you can be contacted privately. I might just mail them to you, and perhaps others would be willing as well.
